felicia, the maestro & the caldera

Quito, Ecuador + the Equator

Here is a beauitul view of the caldera. To think that one day this big valley was a volcano and when it erupted it simply blew up and left this.

The split day

Quito, Ecuador + the Equator

Today I went to the middle of the earth: the equator!
I got to step on both sides of the earth: north and south hemispheres. Right on the equator, I go to balance an egg and got to see how the water swirl changes depending on being on the different sides of the equator. This was fun!

the equator

Here I am jumping on the middle of the earth.

I got to learn that the indigenous people eat guinea pigs! I also got got to see how they would take a head of a dead person, take the skull out, make a special potion to shrink the head, stitch the mouth so the dead would not speak, put a rock inside and then hang it so they could see it.

I got to see a boa constrictor, HUGE spiders, disgusting worms and a fish called penis fish….don’t ask me why that name!! I got to see a HUUUUGE crater where a volcano once was but then exploded.

I bought a flute and also the smartest idea: the indigenous people against the conquistadors in a chess set ! how smart is that?!! I got to see  a church covered completely in gold…i wish i could take some home!

golden church

Iglesia de la Compania – One of the most imprssive churches which is completely made with gold on the walls and ceiling.

Talk to you when I get to Galapagos, travelers !!!
Hasta luego, amigos !!!

half of the world today

Quito, Ecuador

We arrived really late and we were very very tired. There’s some statues outside the airport that are really cool. I took a picture. They were 40,000 million people at the airport. Our hotel is called Rumiloma and it is far away in the mountains.

As we drove there were lights on the mountain popping out of nowhere. This morning , it was hard to get up it is sunny. The hotel has llamas!! I took pictures.

First Class Report

Hello world. I’m now on the plane to houston. When we get there we wait two hours before we go to ecuador. The plane has everything : tv, fold down tables, fold down tray for my double brownie and phone in the armrest. Outside the windows i see big mountains. it is sunny.

This is my report for my first-class flight experience.  The people from United were very rude. Virgin America last week was much much better. This first class had things I couldn’t even imagine. My favorite thing was the seats … So nice!
I’ll write when I get to Ecuador.

When you go on the plane, do not eat the omelet.
Bye for now.

Hello world!

The excitement cannot be contained.

Hi everyone,

This is my adventure blog. First of all, I should tell you my name is Aidan. Ok. Second, I like to go on many adventures… That’s why it’s called my adventure blog. Tomorrow I’m going on a big adventure bigger than all the other adventures that will blow your mind. I am going to the Galapagos Islands. I’m going to see rare animals for example the red footed tortoise, king cobra, penguins, and other stuff that will amaze you.

Ok. That’s it. I hope you follow me on my outstanding journeys.
